My Beloved Cat - kiwi

I took my cat, Kiwi, into the vet for a case of constipation. The veterinarian made a careless mistake. She intended to give him an enema with "Feline Pet-Ema", but instead she gave him Calsorb, a calcium supplement for dogs, which is toxic to cats. The treatment that followed is what caused all this. My beloved little Kiwi went through hell for five days leading up to the congestive heart failure. Four trips to the vet, two trips to the Emergency Room. Countless enemas and IV's, in and out of cages and carriers, being poked, prodded, manhandled, x-rayed, and force fed. It was horrible to see his changed demeanor during this. Had the correct enema been performed initially, this never would have happened. I did make a report to the Nevada State Board Of Veterinarians, and they concluded that the vet in charge was not negligent, except of course, the honest mistake of grabbing the wrong medicine.
